Wayne Cleaver secures conviction of killer of former British OlympianWayne Cleaver has successfully prosecuted at trial Mohamoud Amin who was found guilty of causing death by dangerous driving. Amin, a private hire driver, had stopped on the southbound carriage near the Hatfield tunnel. HHJ Gullick stated “stopping where you did amounted to a seriously dangerous manoeuvre.” The victim Rob Pope, smashed into the back of Amin’s vehicle at around 60mph and died at the scene. He was a London firefighter and ex-Olympic bobsledder. Amin was jailed at St. Albans Crown Court for three-and-a-half years and banned from driving for four years. BBC News Story here |
